Cashless transactions increased impressively

In the first 6 months of 2020, the total amount and total value of non-cash payment transactions via the NAPAS system increased by 138% and 140.5%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

At the same time, NAPAS, together with businesses such as Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Lazada, FPT Telecom, implement programs to encourage customers to pay by domestic cards of banks.

In June alone, the total number of transactions increased by 134.8% and the total value of transactions increased by 140.6% over the same period of 2019.

“The aforementioned figures show that the transactions that the NAPAS system has processed have greatly shifted from cash withdrawal to payment transaction as well as electronic money transfer.
