QR code payment – New trend of modern young people

At any location, even without carrying a wallet, cash or bank card, you can confidently pay the bill in a snap with QR code (payment by QR code) via mobile banking. This trend has become a modern payment trend for many young people today.
“Very fast, every time I go out to eat and drink, I do not need a drama schedule to get a wallet, withdraw money, count and keep waiting to receive the money back. Especially when you are with your girlfriend, waiting for a few minutes to get some change is a little embarrassing (laugh). Now that I have a mobile banking app on my phone, I open it and capture the QR code and enter the amount to pay, that’s it, it’s convenient and modern, ”said Phu Vinh (22 years old, now design staff of an interior company) happily shared.

Not only Vinh, quite a lot of young people also tend to experience and like to use this smart and convenient payment feature because it only takes a few seconds to scan the QR code with the phone camera to be successful payment when going shopping, eating, even when traveling by taxi …

Phu Vinh shared: Currently, there are many payment applications that accept QR codes but after understanding information and practical experience, I decided to choose Maritime Bank mobile banking because this bank is connecting at the same time. The two largest electronic payment gateways are VNPay and Payoo. Accordingly, I can pay by QR code at nearly 4,500 different points, very convenient, everywhere I can pay, especially places I like: ThaiExpress, Hotpot Story, King BBQ, Royal Tea …

Also gradually familiar with this payment method, Minh Thu (23 years old, Ta Quang Buu Street, Hanoi) said that the first time she used a QR code was when she went to Lotte Mart supermarket because she forgot to bring her wallet so she could not pay. by card. Thu shared, and currently, she still uses both cards and QR codes to pay for daily expenses.

However, Thu still prefers using a QR code because according to Thu, the bank card is quite convenient but always has to worry about security or losing the card. However, since knowing and using more mobile banking to pay by QR code, I feel more confident, everything is under control.

Although it has only been in operation for a short time, QR code payment method has become popular and well received by many smartphone owners (smartphones). According to some financial experts, in the future, this form of payment will not only be widely used on e-commerce websites, restaurants, and large supermarkets, but even small-scale shops will be able to scan it. QR by many people now use smartphones.

Seeing this great potential, banks have been racing to integrate QR codes on mobile banking applications as a new payment trend to increase utilities for customers. Besides, banks also offer many attractive incentives for users.

For example, at Maritime Bank, from now until May 5, 2018, when choosing to pay by QR on Mobile Banking, customers receive immediately a discount code of VND 50,000 for the first bill. In addition, this bank also “launched” nearly 2,000 discount codes with denominations: from 20,000 VND to 100,000 VND for customers in the next payment.

“QR code payment method has quickly attracted a large number of customers because of its convenience, speed and safety. To complete the payment, users need to use 2 different password classes. All login information is operated by the user actively on his phone. With these two layers of security and the special format of the QR code (according to the global standards of EMVCo International), customers will have complete peace of mind when dealing with QR code payments, ”a representative of Maritime Bank said.
